חודשי ומיוחד

Rosh Chodesh marks the beginning of each new month in the Jewish calendar. It is celebrated with additional prayers including Hallel (partial) and the Musaf service. The day before Rosh Chodesh is sometimes observed as Yom Kippur Katan (Minor Day of Atonement).

Kiddush Levanah (Sanctification of the Moon) is a blessing recited outdoors when the moon is visible, typically between the 3rd and 15th of the Jewish month. The prayer thanks God for renewing the moon and includes verses about the future redemption.

Birkat HaChodesh (Blessing of the New Month) is recited on the Shabbat before Rosh Chodesh. It announces the upcoming new month, states when Rosh Chodesh will fall, and includes a prayer for a good month ahead.
