Family Day 2014

Family Day (Yom HaMishpacha) is observed in Israel on the 30th of Shevat. It was established to celebrate the value of family in Israeli society and often coincides with educational programs in schools about different family structures, family heritage, and the importance of family bonds in Jewish tradition.

Schools organize activities where children share about their families, create family trees, and learn about the role of family in Jewish life. Some communities hold intergenerational events bringing together grandparents, parents, and children. The day encourages families to spend quality time together and reflect on their shared heritage.
