Jabotinsky Day 2142

Jabotinsky Day is observed on the 29th of Tammuz, the Hebrew date of Ze'ev Jabotinsky's death in 1940. Jabotinsky was a Zionist leader, orator, writer, and founder of the Revisionist Zionism movement. He advocated for Jewish self-defense and the establishment of a Jewish state on both sides of the Jordan River.

A state ceremony is held at Jabotinsky's grave on Mount Herzl, where his remains were reinterred in 1964 at the request of the Israeli government. Educational programs focus on his literary contributions, his role in establishing Jewish self-defense organizations like the Betar movement, and his vision for Jewish sovereignty.
