Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to affix a mezuzah.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to affix a mezuzah.
The blessing for mezuzah is recited when affixing a mezuzah to a doorpost. When moving into a new home, mezuzot should be put up within 30 days (immediately in Israel).
The mezuzah contains the Shema and reminds us of God's presence and commandments every time we enter or leave a room. It sanctifies and protects the Jewish home.
