בָּרְכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת ה'. ה' אֱלהַי גָּדַלְתָּ מְאד. הוד וְהָדָר לָבָשְׁתָּ:
Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, You are greatly exalted; You are clothed with glory and majesty.
עוטֶה אור כַּשּלְמָה. נוטֶה שָׁמַיִם כַּיְרִיעָה:
You wrap Yourself in light like a garment, stretching out the heavens like a curtain.
לְשֵׁם יִחוּד קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא וּשְׁכִינְתֵּהּ. בִּדְחִילוּ וּרְחִימוּ. לְיַחֵד שֵׁם י"ה בו"ה בְּיִחוּדָא שְׁלִים בְּשֵׁם כָּל יִשרָאֵל:
For the sake of the unification of the Holy One, blessed be He, and His Shechinah, with reverence and love, to unify the Name Yud-Hei with Vav-Hei in perfect unity, in the name of all Israel.
הֲרֵינִי מִתְעַטֵּף גּוּפִי בַּצִּיצִית. כֵּן תִּתְעַטֵּף נִשְׁמָתִי וּרְמַ"ח אֵיבָרַי וּשְׁסָ"ה גִידַי בְּאור הַצִּיצִית הָעולֶה תַרְיַ"ג. וּכְשֵׁם שֶׁאֲנִי מִתְכַּסֶּה בְּטַלִּית בָּעולָם הַזֶּה. כַּךְ אֶזְכֶּה לַחֲלוּקָא דְרַבָּנָן. וּלְטַלִּית נָאֶה לָעולָם הַבָּא בְּגַן עֵדֶן. וְעַל יְדֵי מִצְוַת צִיצִית. תִּנָּצֵל נַפְשִׁי וְרוּחִי וְנִשְׁמָתִי וּתפילתי מִן הַחִיצונִים. וְהַטַּלִּית יִפְרוש כְּנָפָיו עֲלֵיהֶם. וְיַצִּילֵם כְּנֶשֶׁר יָעִיר קִנּו עַל גּוזָלָיו יְרַחֵף. וּתְהֵא חֲשׁוּבָה מִצְוַת צִיצִית לִפְנֵי הַקָּדושׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא. כְּאִלּוּ קִיַּמְתִּיהָ בְּכָל פְּרָטֶיהָ וְדִקְדּוּקֶיהָ וְכַוָּנותֶיהָ. וְתַרְיַ"ג מִצְות הַתְּלוּיִם בָּהּ. אָמֵן סֶלָה:
Here I am wrapping my body in the Tzitzit. May my soul, along with my 248 limbs and 365 sinews, be similarly wrapped in the light of the Tzitzit, which corresponds to the 613 commandments. Just as I cover myself with the Tallit in this world, so may I merit the cloak of the righteous and a beautiful Tallit in the World to Come, in the Garden of Eden. Through the mitzvah of Tzitzit, may my soul, spirit, and prayer be saved from external forces. May the Tallit spread its wings over them and protect them, like an eagle stirs its nest and hovers over its young. May the mitzvah of Tzitzit be considered before the Holy One, blessed be He, as if I have fulfilled it with all its details, specifications, and intentions, and with all 613 commandments that depend on it. Amen, Selah.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה'. אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם. אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָׁנוּ בְּמִצְותָיו. וְצִוָּנוּ לְהִתְעַטֵּף בַּצִיצִית:
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to wrap ourselves in the Tzitzit.
מַה יָּקָר חַסְדְּךָ אֱלהִים. וּבְנֵי אָדָם בְּצֵל כְּנָפֶיךָ יֶחֱסָיוּן:
How precious is Your kindness, O God! The children of man take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
יִרְוְיֻן מִדֶּשֶׁן בֵּיתֶךָ וְנַחַל עֲדָנֶיךָ תַשְׁקֵם:
They feast on the abundance of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your delights.
כִּי עִמְּךָ מְקור חַיִּים. בְּאורְךָ נִרְאֶה אור:
For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light, we see light.
מְשׁוךְ חַסְדְּךָ לְידְעֶיךָ וְצִדְקָתְךָ לְיִשְׁרֵי לֵב:
Extend Your kindness to those who know You, and Your righteousness to the upright of heart.
