אֱלהֵינוּ וֵאלהֵי אֲבותֵינוּ. תָּבוא לְפָנֶיךָ תְּפִלָּתֵנוּ וְאַל תִּתְעַלַּם מִתְּחִנָּתֵנוּ. שֶׁאֵין אֲנַחְנוּ עַזֵּי פָנִים וּקְשֵׁי ערֶף לומַר לְפָנֶיךָ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ וֵאלהֵי אֲבותֵינוּ צַדִּיקִים אֲנַחְנוּ וְלא חָטָאנוּ. אֲבָל אֲנַחְנוּ וַאֲבותֵינוּ חָטָאנוּ: אָשַׁמְנוּ. בָּגַדְנוּ. גָּזַלְנוּ. דִּבַּרְנוּ דפִי. הֶעֱוִינוּ. וְהִרְשַׁעְנוּ. זַדְנוּ. חָמַסְנוּ. טָפַלְנוּ שֶׁקֶר. יָעַצְנוּ רָע. כִּזַּבְנוּ. לַצְנוּ. מָרַדְנוּ. נִאַצְנוּ. סָרַרְנוּ. עָוִינוּ. פָּשַׁעְנוּ. צָרַרְנוּ. קִשִּׁינוּ ערֶף. רָשַׁעְנוּ. שִׁחַתְנוּ. תִּעַבְנוּ. תָּעִינוּ. תִּעְתָּעְנוּ: סַרְנוּ מִמִּצְותֶיךָ וּמִמִּשְׁפָּטֶיךָ הַטּובִים וְלא שָׁוָה לָנוּ. וְאַתָּה צַדִּיק עַל כָּל הַבָּא עָלֵינוּ. כִּי אֱמֶת עָשיתָ. וַאֲנַחְנוּ הִרְשָׁעְנוּ:

Our God and God of our fathers, may our prayer come before You, and do not disregard our supplication; for we are not so brazen-faced and stiff-necked as to say before You, Lord our God and God of our fathers, that we are righteous and have not sinned; but indeed, we and our fathers have sinned; we have been guilty, we have betrayed, we have stolen, we have spoken slander, we have acted perversely, and we have been wicked, we have acted presumptuously, we have committed violence, we have framed lies, we have advised evil, we have lied, we have scoffed, we have rebelled, we have blasphemed, we have been stubborn, we have transgressed, we have oppressed, we have been stiff-necked, we have done evil, we have corrupted, we have committed abominations, we have gone astray, we have led others astray; we have turned aside from Your commandments and Your good judgments, and it has not benefited us; but You are righteous in all that has come upon us, for You have acted in truth, and we have done wickedly:

אֵל אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם אַתָּה וּבַעַל הָרַחֲמִים נִקְרֵאתָ. וְדֶרֶךְ תְּשׁוּבָה הורֵיתָ. גְּדֻלַּת רַחֲמֶיךָ וַחֲסָדֶיךָ תִּזְכּור הַיּום וּבְכָל יום לְזֶרַע יְדִידֶיךָ. תֵּפֶן אֵלֵינוּ בְּרַחֲמִים. כִּי אַתָּה הוּא בַּעַל הָרַחֲמִים. בְּתַחֲנוּן וּבִתְפִלָּה פָּנֶיךָ נְקַדֵּם. כְּהודַעְתָּ לֶעָנָו מִקֶּדֶם. מֵחֲרון אַפְּךָ שׁוּב. כְּמו בְּתורָתְךָ כָּתוּב. וּבְצֵל כְּנָפֶיךָ נֶחְסֶה וְנִתְלונָן. כְּיום וַיֵּרֶד ה' בֶּעָנָן. תַּעֲבר עַל פֶּשַׁע וְתִמְחֶה אָשָׁם. כְּיום וַיִּתְיַצֵּב עִמּו שָׁם. תַּאֲזִין שַׁוְעָתֵנוּ וְתַקְשִׁיב מֶנּוּ מַאֲמַר. כְּיום וַיִּקְרָא בְשֵׁם ה' וְשָׁם נֶאֱמַר:

God, slow to anger, You are called the Master of mercy; You have shown the way of repentance; may You remember today and every day the greatness of Your mercy and kindness to the seed of Your beloved ones; turn to us with compassion, for You are the Master of mercy; with supplication and prayer we approach Your presence, as You made known to the humble one of old; turn from Your fierce anger, as it is written in Your Torah; and under the shadow of Your wings we will take refuge and complain, as on the day when the Lord descended in the cloud; pass over transgression and blot out guilt, as on the day He stood with him there; listen to our cry and heed our words, as on the day He called in the name of the Lord, and there it was said:

יחיד אינו אומר זה ולא הי"ג מדות:

An individual does not say this nor the Thirteen Attributes:

וַיַּעֲבר ה' עַל פָּנָיו וַיִּקְרָא: ה'. ה'. אֵל רַחוּם וְחַנּוּן. אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וְרַב חֶסֶד וֶאֱמֶת: נצֵר חֶסֶד לָאֲלָפִים. נשא עָון וָפֶשַׁע וְחַטָּאָה. וְנַקֵּה: וְסָלַחְתָּ לַעֲונֵנוּ וּלְחַטָּאתֵנוּ וּנְחַלְתָּנוּ: סְלַח לָנוּ אָבִינוּ כִּי חָטָאנוּ. מְחַל לָנוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ כִּי פָשָׁעְנוּ. כִּי אַתָּה אֲדנָי טוב וְסַלָּח וְרַב חֶסֶד לְכָל קרְאֶיךָ:

And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed: The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in kindness and truth; keeping kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin, and cleansing; and You forgave our iniquity and our sin, and took us as Your inheritance; forgive us, our Father, for we have sinned; pardon us, our King, for we have transgressed; for You, Lord, are good and forgiving, and abounding in kindness to all who call upon You:

לשני וחמישי נוהגין להרבות בתחנונים בשני ובחמישי ואומרים "והוא רחום" מעומד. וביום שאין אומרים תחנון אין אומרים אותו:

On Monday and Thursday, it is customary to increase supplications on Monday and Thursday and say 'And He, the Merciful' while standing; on a day when Tachanun is not said, it is not recited:

וְהוּא רַחוּם יְכַפֵּר עָון וְלא יַשְׁחִית. וְהִרְבָּה לְהָשִׁיב אַפּו וְלא יָעִיר כָּל חֲמָתו: אַתָּה ה'. לא תִכְלָא רַחֲמֶיךָ מִמֶּנּוּ. חַסְדְּךָ וַאֲמִתְּךָ תָּמִיד יִצְּרוּנוּ: הושִׁיעֵנוּ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ וְקַבְּצֵנוּ מִן הַגּויִם. לְהודות לְשֵׁם קָדְשֶׁךָ. לְהִשְׁתַּבֵּחַ בִּתְהִלָּתֶךָ: אִם עֲונות תִּשְׁמָר יָהּ. אֲדנָי מִי יַעֲמד: כִּי עִמְּךָ הַסְּלִיחָה לְמַעַן תִּוָּרֵא: לא כַחֲטָאֵינוּ תַּעֲשה לָנוּ וְלא כַעֲונותֵינוּ תִּגְמל עָלֵינוּ: אִם עֲונֵינוּ עָנוּ בָנוּ. ה'. עֲשה לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ: זְכר רַחֲמֶיךָ ה' וַחֲסָדֶיךָ. כִּי מֵעולָם הֵמָּה: יַעֲנֵנוּ ה' בְּיום צָרָה. יְשגְּבֵנוּ שֵׁם אֱלהֵי יַעֲקב: ה' הושִׁיעָה. הַמֶּלֶךְ יַעֲנֵנוּ בְיום קָרְאֵנוּ:

And He, the Merciful, will atone for iniquity and not destroy; He has often turned back His anger and does not arouse all His wrath; You, Lord, will not withhold Your mercies from us; Your kindness and Your truth will always preserve us; save us, Lord our God, and gather us from the nations, to give thanks to Your holy name, to glory in Your praise; if You keep iniquities, O Lord, who could stand; for with You is forgiveness, that You may be feared; do not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities; if our iniquities testify against us, Lord, act for the sake of Your name; remember Your mercies, Lord, and Your kindnesses, for they are from of old; may the Lord answer us in the day of trouble, may the name of the God of Jacob exalt us; Lord, save us; may the King answer us on the day we call:

אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ חָנֵּנוּ וַעֲנֵנוּ. כִּי אֵין בָּנוּ מַעֲשים. צְדָקָה עֲשה עִמָּנוּ לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ: אֲדונֵינוּ אֱלהֵינוּ. שְׁמַע קול תַּחֲנוּנֵינוּ. וּזְכָר לָנוּ אֶת בְּרִית אֲבותֵינוּ וְהושִׁיעֵנוּ לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ: וְעַתָּה אֲדנָי אֱלהֵינוּ. אֲשֶׁר הוצֵאתָ אֶת עַמְּךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם בְּיָד חֲזָקָה וַתַּעַש לְךָ שֵׁם כַּיּום הַזֶּה. חָטָאנוּ רָשָׁעְנוּ: אֲדנָי. כְּכָל צִדְקותֶיךָ יָשָׁב נָא אַפְּךָ וַחֲמָתְךָ מֵעִירְךָ יְרוּשָׁלַיִם הַר קָדְשֶׁךָ. כִּי בַחֲטָאֵינוּ וּבַעֲונות אֲבתֵינוּ. יְרוּשָׁלַיִם וְעַמְּךָ לְחֶרְפָּה לְכָל סְבִיבתֵינוּ: וְעַתָּה שְׁמַע אֱלהֵינוּ אֶל תְּפִלַּת עַבְדְּךָ וְאֶל תַּחֲנוּנָיו. וְהָאֵר פָּנֶיךָ עַל מִקְדָּשְׁךָ הַשָּׁמֵם. לְמַעַן אֲדנָי: הַטֵּה אֱלהַי אָזְנְךָ וּשְׁמָע. פְּקַח עֵינֶיךָ וּרְאֵה שׁומְמותֵינוּ וְהָעִיר אֲשֶׁר נִקְרָא שִׁמְךָ עָלֶיהָ. כִּי לא עַל צִדְקותֵינוּ אֲנַחְנוּ מַפִּילִים תַּחֲנוּנֵינוּ לְפָנֶיךָ. כִּי עַל רַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים: אֲדנָי שְׁמָעָה. אֲדנָי סְלָחָה. אֲדנָי הַקְשִׁיבָה. וַעֲשה אַל תְּאַחַר. לְמַעַנְךָ אֱלהַי. כִּי שִׁמְךָ נִקְרָא עַל עִירְךָ וְעַל עַמֶּךָ:
אָבִינוּ הָאָב הָרַחֲמָן. הַרְאֵנוּ אות לְטובָה וְקַבֵּץ נְפוּצותֵינוּ מֵאַרְבַּע כַּנְפות הָאָרֶץ. יַכִּירוּ וְיֵדְעוּ כָּל הַגּויִם. כִּי אַתָּה ה' אֱלהֵינוּ: וְעַתָּה ה' אָבִינוּ אָתָּה. אֲנַחְנוּ הַחמֶר וְאַתָּה יצְרֵנוּ וּמַעֲשה יָדְךָ כֻּלָּנוּ:

Our Father, our King, be gracious to us and answer us, for we have no deeds; deal with us in righteousness for the sake of Your name; our Lord our God, hear the voice of our supplications, and remember for us the covenant of our fathers, and save us for the sake of Your name; and now, Lord our God, who brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand and made Yourself a name as it is this day, we have sinned, we have done wickedly; Lord, according to all Your righteousness, let Your anger and Your wrath turn away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; for because of our sins and the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people have become a reproach to all around us; and now, hear, our God, the prayer of Your servant and his supplications, and let Your face shine upon Your desolate sanctuary, for the sake of the Lord; incline, my God, Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations and the city upon which Your name is called; for not on account of our righteousness do we present our supplications before You, but on account of Your abundant mercies; Lord, hear; Lord, forgive; Lord, listen and act, do not delay, for Your own sake, my God, for Your name is called upon Your city and Your people:
Our Father, the merciful Father, show us a sign for good and gather our scattered ones from the four corners of the earth; let all the nations know and understand that You are the Lord our God; and now, Lord our Father, You are He; we are the clay, and You are our Maker, and we are all the work of Your hand:

הושִׁיעֵנוּ לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ. צוּרֵנוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ וְגואֲלֵנוּ: חוּסָה ה' עַל עַמֶּךָ וְאַל תִּתֵּן נַחֲלָתְךָ לְחֶרְפָּה לִמְשָׁל בָּם גּויִם. לָמָּה יאמְרוּ בָעַמִּים אַיֵּה אֱלהֵיהֶם: יָדַעְנוּ כִּי חָטָאנוּ וְאֵין מִי יַעֲמד בַּעֲדֵנוּ. שִׁמְךָ הַגָּדול יַעֲמָד לָנוּ בְּעֵת צָרָה. יָדַעְנוּ כִּי אֵין בָּנוּ מַעֲשים. צְדָקָה עֲשה עִמָּנוּ לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ: כְּרַחֵם אָב עַל בָּנִים כֵּן תְּרַחֵם ה' עָלֵינוּ. וְהושִׁיעֵנוּ לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ:

Save us for the sake of Your name, our Rock, our King, and our Redeemer; spare, Lord, Your people, and do not give Your inheritance to reproach, to be ruled by nations; why should they say among the peoples, Where is their God; we know that we have sinned, and there is no one to stand for us; may Your great name stand for us in the time of trouble; we know that we have no deeds; deal with us in righteousness for the sake of Your name; as a father has compassion on his children, so have compassion on us, Lord, and save us for the sake of Your name:

חֲמול עַל עַמֶּךָ. רַחֵם עַל נַחֲלָתֶךָ. חוּסָה נָּא כְּרוב רַחֲמֶיךָ. חָנֵּנוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ וַעֲנֵנוּ. כִּי לְךָ ה' הַצְּדָקָה. עשה נִפְלָאות בְּכָל עֵת:

Have compassion on Your people, have mercy on Your inheritance; spare us, please, according to the abundance of Your mercies; be gracious to us, our King, and answer us, for to You, Lord, belongs righteousness; perform wonders at all times:

הַבֶּט נָא רַחֶם נָא עַל עַמְךָ מְהֵרָה לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ. בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים ה' אֱלהֵינוּ חוּס וְרַחֵם וְהושִׁיעָה צאן מַרְעִיתֶךָ. וְאַל יִמְשָׁל בָּנוּ קֶצֶף. כִּי לְךָ עֵינֵינוּ תְלוּיות. הושִׁיעֵנוּ לְמַעַן שְׁמֶּךָ.רַחֵם עָלֵינוּ לְמַעַן בְּרִיתֶךָ הַבִּיטָה וַעֲנֵנוּ בְּעֵת צָרָה. כִּי לְךָ ה' הַיְשׁוּעָה. בְּךָ תוחַלְתֵּנוּ אֱלוהַּ סְלִיחות. אָנָּא סְלַח נָא. אֵל טוב וְסַלָּח כִּי אֵל מֶלֶךְ חַנוּן וְרַחוּם אָתָּה:

Look, please, have mercy, please, on Your people speedily for the sake of Your name; with Your abundant mercies, Lord our God, spare and have compassion and save the sheep of Your pasture; and let not wrath rule over us, for our eyes are fixed on You; save us for the sake of Your name; have mercy on us for the sake of Your covenant; look and answer us in the time of trouble, for salvation belongs to You, Lord; in You is our hope, God of forgiveness; please forgive, please; God, good and forgiving, for You are a gracious and merciful King and God:

אָנָּא מֶלֶךְ חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם. זְכר וְהַבֵּט לִבְרִית בֵּין הַבְּתָרִים וְתֵרָאֶה לְפָנֶיךָ עֲקֵדַת יָחִיד לְמַעַן יִשרָאֵל. אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ חָנֵּנוּ וַעֲנֵנוּ. כִּי שִׁמְךָ הַגָּדול נִקְרָא עָלֵינוּ. עשה נִפְלָאות בְּכָל עֵת. עֲשה עִמָּנוּ כְּחַסְדֶּךָ. חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם. הַבִּיטָה וַעֲנֵנוּ בְּעֵת צָרָה. כִּי לְךָ ה' הַיְשׁוּעָה. אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ מַחֲסֵנוּ אַל תַּעַשׁ עִמָּנוּ כְּרעַ מַעֲלָלֵנוּ זְכור רַחֲמֶיךָ ה' וַחֲסָדֶיךָ וּכְרב טוּבְךָ הושִׁיעֵנוּ וַחֲמָל נָא עָלֵינוּ כִּי אֵין לָנוּ אֱלוהַּ אַחֵר מִבַּלְעָדֶיךָ צוּרֵנוּ אַל תַּעַזְבֵנוּ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ אַל תִּרְחַק מִמֶּנוּ כִּי נַפְשֵׁנוּ קְצָרָה. מֵחֶרֵב וּמִשְּׁבִי וּמִדֶּבֶר וּמִמַּגֵּפָה וּמִכָּל צָרָה וְיָגון הַצִּילֵנוּ כִּי לְךָ קִוִּינוּ וְאַל תַּכְלִימֵנוּ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ וְהָאֵר פָּנֶיךָ בָּנוּ וּזְכר לָנוּ אֶת בְּרִית אֲבותֵינוּ וְהושִׁיעֵנוּ לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ. רְאֵה בְצָרותֵינוּ וּשְׁמַע קול תְּפִלָּתֵנוּ. כִּי אַתָּה שׁומֵע תְּפִלַּת כָּל פֶּה:

Please, gracious and merciful King, remember and look to the covenant between the pieces, and may the binding of the only son appear before You for the sake of Israel; our Father, our King, be gracious to us and answer us, for Your great name is called upon us; perform wonders at all times; deal with us according to Your kindness, Gracious and Merciful One; look and answer us in the time of trouble, for salvation belongs to You, Lord; our Father, our King, our Refuge, do not deal with us according to the evil of our deeds; remember Your mercies, Lord, and Your kindnesses, and with the abundance of Your goodness save us and have compassion on us, please, for we have no other god besides You, our Rock; do not forsake us, Lord our God, do not be far from us, for our soul is short; from sword, from captivity, from pestilence, from plague, and from all trouble and sorrow deliver us, for in You we hope, and do not put us to shame, Lord our God; and let Your face shine upon us, and remember for us the covenant of our fathers, and save us for the sake of Your name; see our afflictions and hear the voice of our prayer, for You hear the prayer of every mouth:

אֵל רַחוּם וְחַנּוּן, רַחֵם עָלֵינוּ וְעַל כָּל מַעֲשיךָ, כִּי אֵין כָּמוךָ ה' אֱלהֵינוּ, אָנָּא שא נָא פְשָׁעֵינוּ. אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ צוּרֵנוּ וְגואֲלֵנוּ, אֵל חַי וְקַיָּם הֶחָסִין בַּכּחַ, חָסִיד וְטוב עַל כָּל מַעֲשיךָ, כִּי אַתָּה הוּא ה' אֱלהֵינוּ. אֵל אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וּמָלֵא רַחֲמִים, עֲשה עִמָּנוּ כְּרב רַחֲמֶיךָ, וְהושִׁיעֵנוּ לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ. שְׁמַע מַלְכֵּנוּ תְּפִלָּתֵנוּ, וּמִיַּד אויְבֵינוּ הַצִּילֵנוּ. שְׁמַע מַלְכֵּנוּ תְּפִלָתֵנוּ וּמִכָּל צָרָה וְיָגון הַצִּילֵנוּ. אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ אַתָּה, וְשִׁמְךָ עָלֵינוּ נִקְרָא, אַל תַּנִּיחֵנוּ. אַל תַּעַזְבֵנ אָבִינוּ, וְאַל תִּטְשֵׁנוּ בּורְאֵנוּ, וְאַל תִּשְׁכָּחֵנוּ יוצְרֵנוּ, כִּי אֵל מֶלֶךְ חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם אָתָּה:

Merciful and gracious God, have mercy on us and on all Your works, for there is none like You, Lord our God; please, please bear our transgressions; our Father, our King, our Rock, and our Redeemer, living and enduring God, mighty in strength, kind and good over all Your works, for You are the Lord our God; God, slow to anger and full of mercy, deal with us according to the abundance of Your mercies, and save us for the sake of Your name; hear, our King, our prayer, and deliver us from the hand of our enemies; hear, our King, our prayer, and from all trouble and sorrow deliver us; our Father, our King, You are He, and Your name is called upon us, do not abandon us; do not forsake us, our Father, do not cast us off, our Creator, do not forget us, our Maker, for You are a gracious and merciful King and God:

אֵין כָּמוךָ חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם ה' אֱלהֵינוּ. אֵין כָּמוךָ אֵל אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וְרַב חֶסֶד וֶאֱמֶת. הושִׁיעֵנוּ בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים. מֵרַעַשׁ וּמֵרגֶז הַצִּילֵנוּ: זְכור לַעֲבָדֶיךָ לְאַבְרָהָם לְיִצְחָק וּלְיַעֲקב. אַל תֵּפֶן אֶל קָשְׁיֵנוּ וְאֶל רִשְׁעֵנוּ וְאֶל חַטָּאתֵנוּ שׁוּב מֵחֲרון אַפֶּךָ וְהִנָּחֵם עַל הָרָעָה לְעַמֶּךָ: וְהָסֵר מִמֶּנּוּ מַכַּת הַמָּוֶת כִּי רַחוּם אָתָּה. כִּי כֵן דַּרְכֶּךָ. עושה חֶסֶד חִנָּם בְּכָל דּור וָדור. חוּסָה ה' עַל עַמֶּךָ וְהַצִּילֵנוּ מִזַּעְמֶךָ. וְהָסֵר מִמֶּנּוּ מַכַּת הַמַּגֵּפָה וּגְזֵרָה קָשָׁה. כִּי אַתָּה שׁומֵר יִשרָאֵל: לְךָ אֲדנָי הַצְּדָקָה וְלָנוּ בּשֶׁת הַפָּנִים. מַה נִּתְאונֵן מַה נּאמַר מַה נְּדַבֵּר וּמַה נִּצְטַדָּק: נַחְפְּשה דְרָכֵינוּ וְנַחְקרָה וְנָשׁוּבָה אֵלֶיךָ. כִּי יְמִינְךָ פְשׁוּטָה לְקַבֵּל שָׁבִים: אָנָּא ה' הושִׁיעָה נָּא. אָנָּא ה' הַצְּלִיחָה נָא: אָנָּא ה' עֲנֵנוּ בְיום קָרְאֵנוּ:

There is none like You, gracious and merciful, Lord our God; there is none like You, God, slow to anger and abounding in kindness and truth; save us with Your abundant mercies; deliver us from tumult and wrath; remember for Your servants, for Abraham, for Isaac, and for Jacob; do not turn to our stubbornness, nor to our wickedness, nor to our sins; turn from Your fierce anger and relent from the evil to Your people; and remove from us the stroke of death, for You are merciful, for such is Your way, doing kindness freely in every generation; spare, Lord, Your people, and deliver us from Your wrath; and remove from us the stroke of plague and harsh decree, for You are the Guardian of Israel; to You, Lord, belongs righteousness, and to us shame of face; what shall we complain, what shall we say, what shall we speak, how shall we justify ourselves; let us search our ways and examine them, and return to You, for Your right hand is outstretched to receive those who return; please, Lord, save us, please; please, Lord, make us succeed, please; please, Lord, answer us on the day we call:

לְךָ ה' חִכִּינוּ. לְךָ ה' קִוִּינוּ. לְךָ ה' נְיַחֵל. אַל תֶּחֱשֶׁה וּתְעַנֵּנוּ. כִּי נָאֲמוּ גּויִם. אָבְדָה תִקְוָתָם. כָּל בֶּרֶךְ וְכָל קומָה לְךָ לְבַד תִּשְׁתַּחֲוֶה: הַפּותֵחַ יָד בִּתְשׁוּבָה לְקַבֵּל פּושְׁעִים וְחַטָּאִים. נִבְהֲלָה נַפְשֵׁנוּ מֵרב עִצְּבונֵנוּ. אַל תִּשְׁכָּחֵנוּ נֶצַח. קוּמָה וְהושִׁיעֵנוּ. כִּי חָסִינוּ בָךְ. אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ. אִם אֵין בָּנוּ צְדָקָה וּמַעֲשים טובִים. זְכָר לָנוּ אֶת בְּרִית אֲבותֵינוּ. וְעֵדותֵינוּ בְּכָל יום ה' אֶחָד. הַבִּיטָה בְעָנְיֵנוּ. כִּי רַבּוּ מַכְאובֵינוּ. וְצָרות לְבָבֵנוּ. חוּסָה ה' עָלֵינוּ. וְאַל תִּשְׁפּךְ חֲרונְךָ עָלֵינוּ. כִּי אֲנַחְנוּ עַמְּךָ בְּנֵי בְרִיתֶךָ. אֵל הַבִּיטָה. דַּל כְּבודֵנוּ בַּגּויִים וְשִׁקְּצוּנוּ כְּטֻמְאַת הַנִּדָּה. עַד מָתַי עֻזְּךָ בַּשְּׁבִי. וְתִפְאַרְתְּךָ בְּיַד צָר. עורְרָה גְבוּרָתְךָ וְקִנְאָתְךָ עַל אויְבֶיךָ. הֵם יֵבושׁוּ וְיֵחַתּוּ מִגְבוּרָתָם. וְאַל יִמְעֲטוּ לְפָנֶיךָ תְּלָאותֵינוּ. מַהֵר יְקַדְּמוּנוּ רַחֲמֶיךָ בְּיום צָרָתֵנוּ. וְאִם לא לְמַעֲנֵנוּ לְמַעַנְךָ פְּעַל. וְאַל תַּשְׁחִית זֵכֶר שְׁאֵרִיתֵנוּ וְחון אם הַמְיַחֲדִים שִׁמְךָ פַּעֲמַיִם בְּכָל יום תָּמִיד בְּאַהֲבָה וְאומְרִים שְׁמַע יִשרָאֵל. ה' אֱלהֵינוּ. ה' אֶחָד:

To You, Lord, we have waited; to You, Lord, we have hoped; to You, Lord, we look; do not be silent, but answer us; for the nations say, Their hope is lost; every knee and every stature will bow to You alone; You who open a hand in repentance to receive transgressors and sinners, our soul is dismayed from the abundance of our sorrow; do not forget us forever; arise and save us, for we have taken refuge in You; our Father, our King, if we have no righteousness or good deeds, remember for us the covenant of our fathers, and our testimony every day, The Lord is One; look upon our affliction, for our pains have multiplied, and the troubles of our heart; spare, Lord, us, and do not pour out Your wrath upon us, for we are Your people, the children of Your covenant; God, look, our honor is diminished among the nations, and they despise us like the impurity of a menstruant; how long will Your strength be in captivity, and Your glory in the hand of the enemy; arouse Your might and Your zeal against Your enemies; let them be ashamed and dismayed from their power; and may our afflictions not be diminished before You; let Your mercies come quickly to us in the day of our trouble; and if not for our sake, act for Your own sake, and do not destroy the memory of our remnant; and have mercy on the nation that proclaims Your name twice every day continually with love, saying, Hear, O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One:

וַיּאמֶר דָּוִד אֶל גָּד, צַר לִי מְאד, נִפְּלָה נָּא בְיַד ה', כִּי רַבִּים רַחֲמָיו, וּבְיַד אָדָם אַל אֶפּלָה:

And David said to Gad, I am in great distress; let us fall, please, into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies are many, but let me not fall into the hand of man:

רַחוּם וְחַנּוּן חָטָאתִי לְפָנֶיךָ. ה' מָלֵא רַחֲמִים. רַחֵם עָלַי וְקַבֵּל תַּחֲנוּנָי: ה' אַל בְּאַפְּךָ תוכִיחֵנִי. וְאַל בַּחֲמָתְךָ תְיַסְּרֵנִי: חָנֵּנִי ה'. כִּי אֻמְלַל אָנִי. רְפָאֵנִי ה'. כִּי נִבְהֲלוּ עֲצָמָי: וְנַפְשִׁי נִבְהֲלָה מְאד. וְאַתָּה ה' עַד מָתָי: שׁוּבָה ה'. חַלְּצָה נַפְשִׁי. הושִׁיעֵנִי לְמַעַן חַסְדֶּךָ: כִּי אֵין בַּמָּוֶת זִכְרֶךָ. בִּשְׁאול מִי יודֶה לָּךְ: יָגַעְתִּי בְאַנְחָתִי. אַשחֶה בְכָל לַיְלָה מִטָּתִי. בְּדִמְעָתִי עַרְשי אַמְסֶה: עָשְׁשָׁה מִכַּעַס עֵינִי. עָתְקָה בְּכָל צורְרָי: סוּרוּ מִמֶּנִּי כָּל פּעֲלֵי אָוֶן. כִּי שָׁמַע ה' קול בִּכְיִי: שָׁמַע ה' תְּחִנָּתִי. ה' תְּפִלָּתִי יִקָּח: יֵבשׁוּ וְיִבָּהֲלוּ מְאד כָּל איְבָי. יָשֻׁבוּ יֵבשׁוּ רָגַע:

Merciful and Gracious One, I have sinned before You; Lord, full of mercy, have mercy on me and accept my supplications; Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor discipline me in Your wrath; be gracious to me, Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, Lord, for my bones are dismayed; and my soul is greatly dismayed; and You, Lord, how long; return, Lord, deliver my soul; save me for the sake of Your kindness; for in death there is no remembrance of You; in Sheol, who will give thanks to You; I am weary with my groaning; every night I flood my bed; with my tears I drench my couch; my eye wastes away from grief; it grows weak because of all my foes; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping; the Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord will accept my prayer; may all my enemies be ashamed and greatly dismayed; may they turn back and be ashamed suddenly:

Lord, God of Israel, turn from Your fierce anger and relent from the evil to Your people; look from heaven and see, for we have become a mockery and derision among the nations; we are considered as sheep led to slaughter, to be killed and destroyed, smitten and reproached; yet despite all this, we have not forgotten Your name; please do not forget us:
