Please, Lord our God and God of our ancestors, let our prayer come before You. And do not hide Yourself, our King, from our supplication. For we are not so brazen and stiff-necked as to say before You, Lord our God and God of our ancestors, that we are righteous and have not sinned. Indeed, we have sinned. We have transgressed. We have committed iniquity. We and our ancestors and the members of our households: We have acted guiltily. We have betrayed. We have stolen. We have spoken slander and evil gossip. We have committed iniquity. We have done wickedly. We have acted presumptuously. We have committed violence. We have fabricated lies and deceit. We have counseled evil counsels. We have lied. We have been angry. We have scoffed. We have rebelled. We have strayed from Your words. We have blasphemed. We have been unfaithful. We have been obstinate. We have committed iniquity. We have transgressed. We have sinned. We have harassed. We have oppressed a father and a mother. We have been stiff-necked. We have acted wickedly. We have been corrupt. We have been abominable. We have gone astray and led others astray. And we have turned away from Your commandments and from Your good judgments, and it has not availed us. And You are righteous in all that has come upon us; for You have acted truthfully, but we have been wicked.

What shall we say before You, who dwell on high, and what shall we recount to You, who dwell in the heavens? Indeed, all hidden and revealed things You know, You know the mysteries of the universe and the hidden secrets of every living being. You search all the inner chambers of the gut, seeing kidneys and heart. There is nothing concealed from You, and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. May it be Your will before You, Lord our God and God of our ancestors, that You forgive us for all our sins, atone for us for all our iniquities, and forgive and pardon all our transgressions.
