Who is a God like You, bearing iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of His inheritance; He does not retain His anger forever, for He delights in kindness; He will again have compassion on us, He will subdue our iniquities, and You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea; You will give truth to Jacob, kindness to Abraham, as You swore to our fathers from days of old; from the straits I called out to the Lord, the Lord answered me with expanse; the Lord is with me, I will not fear, what can man do to me; the Lord is with me among my helpers, and I will see the downfall of my enemies; it is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man; it is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes:

Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; praise is fitting for the upright; give thanks to the Lord with the lyre, sing to Him with a ten-stringed harp; sing to Him a new song, play skillfully with a shout of joy; for the word of the Lord is upright, and all His work is in faithfulness; He loves righteousness and justice, the earth is full of the kindness of the Lord; by the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host; He gathers the waters of the sea as in a heap, He puts the deeps in storehouses; let all the earth fear the Lord, let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him; for He spoke, and it came to be, He commanded, and it stood firm; the Lord frustrates the counsel of nations, He thwarts the plans of peoples; the counsel of the Lord stands forever, the thoughts of His heart for all generations; happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance; from the heavens the Lord looks down, He sees all the children of man; from His dwelling place He gazes upon all the inhabitants of the earth; He who forms their hearts together, who understands all their deeds; a king is not saved by a great army, a warrior is not delivered by great strength; a horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue; behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His kindness; to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine; our soul waits for the Lord, He is our help and our shield; for in Him our heart rejoices, for we trust in His holy name; may Your kindness, Lord, be upon us, as we have hoped in You:

And may it be Your will before You, Lord my God and God of my fathers, Most High God, crowned with the thirteen attributes of mercy, that this hour be a time of favor before You, and may the recitation of the thirteen attributes of mercy in the verses 'Who is a God like You,' which correspond to the thirteen attributes 'God, merciful and gracious,' etc., that we have recited before You, be as an offering before You, as if we had comprehended all the secrets and combinations of the holy names that emerge from them and the pairings of their attributes, which approach one another to sweeten the harsh judgments and cast all our sins into the depths of the sea; and You, in Your goodness, will awaken Your mercy, and we will be cleansed of all impurity, filth, and defilement; and all the sparks of holiness that were scattered will rise, be purified, and whitened by Your attribute of goodness, You, God of our salvation, who preserves kindness for thousands, and in Your abundant mercy grant us long life; a life of peace, a life of goodness, a life of blessing, a life of good sustenance, a life of vigor of bones, a life with fear of heaven and fear of sin, a life free of shame and humiliation, a life of wealth and honor for Your service, a life in which we have love of Torah and fear of heaven, a life in which You fulfill all the desires of our heart for good; and remember us for life, King who delights in life, and inscribe us in the Book of Life, for Your sake, living God, and tear up the evil decree of our judgment, and may our merits be proclaimed before You:

Our God and God of our fathers, merciful King, have mercy on us; good and beneficent One, seek us out; return to us with Your abundant mercy for the sake of the fathers who did Your will; rebuild Your house as at the beginning and establish Your Temple on its foundation; and show us its building and gladden us with its restoration; and return Your presence to its midst, and restore the priests to their service and the Levites to their song and music; and return Israel to their dwellings, and may the earth be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, to fear and love Your great, mighty, and awesome name, Amen, may it be Your will; no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn; this is the inheritance of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord:

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea:

May it be Your will before You, through the illumination of the ancient holy corrections of the ancients, that in the Long Face of the Short Face Your mercy will subdue Your anger, and Your mercy will prevail over Your attributes, and You will deal with us with the attribute of mercy, and grant us long and good life in the study of Your Torah and the fulfillment of Your commandments to do Your will, Amen, and may it be Your will:

A Song of Ascents: Out of the depths I have called to You, Lord; Lord, hear my voice, let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications; if You, Lord, should keep iniquities, Lord, who could stand; for with You there is forgiveness, that You may be feared; I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, watchmen for the morning; let Israel hope in the Lord, for with the Lord there is kindness and with Him is abundant redemption; and He will redeem Israel from all its iniquities:

Forever, Lord, Your word stands firm in the heavens:

When do you say Tashlich?

Tashlich is traditionally performed on the first afternoon of Rosh Hashanah, beside a body of water (preferably with fish). If Rosh Hashanah falls on Shabbat, it is done on the second day.

What is Tashlich?

This ceremony symbolically casts our sins into the water, representing spiritual cleansing and renewal. It is based on the verse 'You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.'
